In 2013, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) created the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), which provides skilled trades workers with a specific immigration track.
The FSTP is one of three federal economic programs overseen by the Government of Canada’s Express Entry system. Express Entry is the primary method by which Canada invites economically proficient workers to immigrate.
One of several options for skilled trades professionals seeking immigration to Canada is to apply through the FSTP. various choices include applying to various federal immigration programs, the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and Quebec immigration.
