The Federal Skilled Worker Program is for skilled workers who have work experience and want to become permanent residents. What is Canada's Express Entry Program for Skilled Workers? The purpose of the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is to enable skilled workers with prior overseas job experience to live and work permanently in Canada. Since it is one of the three Express Entry programs, an application for a skilled worker will probably be handled in less than six months. The FSWP, sometimes known as the Skilled Worker Visa Program, this application for permanent residency gives talented professionals greater assurance about being able to live and work in Canada. Skilled workers who meet the minimal requirements for education, professional work experience, and language ability in English and/or French are eligible for the FSWP.
How is this unique from other immigration programs?
Candidates for the federal skilled worker program do not require to have a link to Canada.
Candidates can meet prerequisites such as work experience, education, and language ability outside of Canada. This makes the program appropriate for persons living outside of Canada.
In addition, candidates for the Federal Skilled Worker Program are more likely to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
