The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is an economic immigration program that selects individuals for permanent residence in Alberta. Nominees must have skills to fill job shortages or intend to purchase or start a business in Alberta. They must also be capable of providing for their families. The initiative is run by the Alberta and Canadian governments.

Categories for Immigration in Ontario

If you want to immigrate to Ontario, you have three categories to pick from:

1. • Human Capital Category
2. • Masters or PhD category
3. • Employer job offer category
4. • Business category

The Human Capital Category is for skilled workers, French-speaking skilled workers and tradespersons. It is also for international graduates who graduated from an Ontario university with a Masters or PhD degree. No job offer is required to apply through this category.

The Employer Job Offer Category is for candidates who have an eligible job offer in Ontario from an employer who is willing to nominate them.
